Here With You (tags: Jim)

Snow White smiled at Jim as they entered the kitchen and she sat down, "So do you need help in here?" She asked as she leaned against the counter. She liked being alone with Jim as he made her feel safe, safer then when she was by herself and especially now that Anonymous was starting to become more of a threat.

"No.", Jim shook his head. "Actually I did all of the work. Do you want something special to eat?", he raised an eyebrow and looked at her. Being all alone and at this silent place made him feel more calm than before. He really didn't like crowded places or parties like the one which was going on outside in the Dining Room. Hopefully they won't get interrupted that fast.

Snow White smiled at him warmly, "Uhm yeah sure, if its no trouble of course." She said gently as she smiled at him.

"You're not making any trouble for me.", he smiled softly. "What do you like to have?"

She blushed a little and then shrugged, "Whatever you made for dinner would be great." She said and smiled at him.

Jim nodded and walked around in the kitchen searching for the ingredients. He found eggs and milk in the freezer, flour, sugar, salt and chocolate in the cupboard on the other side of the room. Jim took a bowl and mixed them together carefully.

Snow White moved to sit down on a chair and watched him work, "So how hard has Gaston made you work today?" She asked with worry, she knew Gaston tended to crack down more on his servants for big events like this and that worried her.

Jim shrugged. "Just cooked every meal on the buffet tonight. Wasn't that hard.", he filled the pastry in a baking form and put it in the oven. "Before I needed to buy everything. That was a bit harder. Imagining who likes to eat what. But I had a lot of fun.", he smiled at Snow, while he walked back to her. He sat down on a chair in front of her and tilted his head. "His useless comments where the annoying part of it all."

She laughed, "I can only imagine, Gaston isn't exactly the brightest human being." She said with a roll of her eyes. "I'm sure the dinner is amazing, you always make the best food." She said and leaned over to gently squeeze his hand with hers.

"Thank you. But it's nothing special, really.", Jim shook his head. "How are you feeling?", he asked concerned. A reason why he wanted to be alone with her.

Snow White sighed and released his hand, "I'm fine....I just felt a little sick earlier that's all." She said softly, the last thing she wanted was to have Jim worry more. She still hadn't told him that she had cancer and she was afraid too...it might change things between them and that was the last thing she wanted.

"You're feeling sick a lot lately.", he mentioned while watching to the oven, just to see that the cake needed some more time. "I'm not hearing your voice often in the music room when I help Anya cleaning the floors."

Snow White sighed, he would notice....Jim was more observant then most after all, "Jim....I.....I want to tell you but I'm afraid too." She admitted quietly as she looked down at her lap, she was suddenly more nervous then she would have thought possible.

Jim stood up, taking the chocolate cake out of the oven. "Really? I never thought I make you feel like this.", he turned his back to her, carrying the cake to a nearby table. He took another pot and started to heat the stove, so he could melt chocolate for the glaze.

{OOC: Sound proof kitchen. Can't hear any screams or anything outside of the room. *blinks before running*}

Snow winced and bit her bottom lip, she was about to open her mouth to tell him when a loud scream came in from the Dining Room. Snow White's eyes widened, "Who was that?" She asked softly and turned to look up at Jim.

Jim lifted his head. "Sounds like Charlotte, but I'm not sure.", he shrugged. Carefully making the glaze on the cake, he waited for an answer of his earlier sentence.

She bit her bottom lip she wanted to investigate but she had a feeling that at that moment Jim just wanted answers, "I'm sick Jim, I have cancer." She said quietly and then looked down at her feet.

Jim sighed and stroke through his hair. "That's what you are worrying about?", he took the cake and placed it in front of Snow. "You're still special. No one will avoid you just because you have cancer.", Jim reached out a hand and lifted Snow's face, wiping a tear away. "I can say, I will miss you, when you leave me.", he smiled softly.

She looked down again, "I...don't want to leave Jim." She said with more tears falling down her face as she avoided looking at him.

Jim sighed and let go of her face, to stroke through his hair. Seeing her cry made him feel uncomfortable. "Everyone needs to go sooner or later.", he said helplessly.

She nodded and forced herself to get a grip, "Yeah I know, its just hard sometimes." She said eventually.

Jim sighed again. "I would switch places with you."

She frowned at that, "Why? I wouldn't wish this on anyone Jim." She said firmly and hoped he realized just how serious she was being.
